Raw Argan Oil

Raw Argan OilI have a confession to make. I’m a wee bit vain. Not stare-in-the-mirror-all-day vain. Just the sort of vain that makes me want to look as good as possible for as LONG as possible, and this is why I use raw argan oil.

Now, I know there are a ton of new products on the market, many known as “cosmeceuticals” supposedly for their amazing anti-aging effects (in that they’re supposedly more like pharmaceuticals than cosmetics in their action). Now, this is all well and good, but I’d rather not use any pharmaceuticals if I can help it, and I’m rather more interested in natural means to looking good, rather than artificial ones.

Why Choose Raw Argan Oil?

That’s why I turned to good old raw argan oil. Argan oil has been used by the Berber women of Morocco for generations, and they’re known for their lovely skin and hair, which they maintain well into middle age. These women aren’t buying the most expensive new creams and potions for their skin, they’re relying on natural argan oil!

A sad fact of life is that we all start aging eventually, and unfortunately it seems to hit us earlier than it should. After all, who FEELS old at the age of 30?? Many of us feel our life is just beginning, so it’s pretty hard to cope with those little lines and wrinkles that start popping up all over the place.

The Benefits of Raw Argan Oil

Exposure to cigarette smoke, alcohol, and air pollution can age your skin well before its time. Moreover, we’ve all heard about the damaging effects of the UV rays from the sun. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot we can do about these things (well not smoking or drinking helps, as does remaining covered up 24/7 each day of the year to avoid UV radiation… which isn’t actually all that good for you as the sun is really important for the manufacture of vitamin D3, but that’s another story).

Let’s just look at how argan oil can actually help you defeat the aging process one day at a time… Argan oil contains vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant that is able to improve cellular structure and heal damaged skin, it also contains essential fatty acids, which can restore and rejuvenate skin cells, lipids (found in all oils and fats) assist with smooth muscle function and improve the circulation, ferulic acid helps reduce sun damage, and well, there are many more benefits to the use of argan oil that I’m not going to list here.

Ultimately, there are a lot of benefits to the use of raw argan oil, and I would suggest that anyone interested in natural health and beauty get themselves some argan oil today. Whether you use it just on your skin or hair, or whether you cook with it too, it’s entirely up to you. Personally, I like to use it as much as I can!
